The Role and Responsibilities

The Manager, Licensing, manages product categories and licensees to meet revenue and growth targets.

Finance and Business Planning
  • Develop and implement business strategies for Softlines categories including Home, Furniture, Decor, Tabletop, and Kitchen, overseeing the FBC.
  • Handle budget planning and revenue forecasting.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, developing strategies by retailer, brand, and property.
  • Identify new business and revenue opportunities, including DTR opportunities such as franchise stores.
Client Management
  • Provide licensee, product, market, and retail information as needed.
  • Manage client timelines, forecasts, budgets, and royalty reports.
  • Develop strategic plans and brand roadmaps with team support.
Category Management

Act as an ambassador for the category and brand, researching market and consumer trends, and analyzing performance to develop growth objectives.

  • Develop new business opportunities and product strategies.
  • Partner with sales for retail planning and pitches.
  • Manage licensee relationships, contracts, and day-to-day interactions.
  • Assist with contract negotiations, financial analysis, and presentations.
Product Development
  • Collaborate with Product Development to innovate and launch new products.
  • Ensure licensee product lines align with client quality and brand standards.
Retail, Sales, and Marketing
  • Build relationships with key retailers to maximize opportunities.
  • Monitor retail sales and perform market analysis.
  • Support marketing and sales presentations with product information.
  • Foster cross-team collaboration for promotional opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of brand positioning and retail development.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Regional licensing experience.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proactive, dependable, and team-oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of financial systems preferred.
Work Environment

Based in Dubai, working from the office 4 days a week, with occasional travel and weekend work. Hours are 9:00-18:00, Monday to Friday.
