Role Purpose:
Standard duties:
- Develop and implement the Key Accounts Sales Channel’s strategy that is aligned to the company strategy and the set departmental and operational goals, and initiate measures to reach these goals and to improve the overall sales performance
- Lead the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against departmental goals
- Responsible for a result-oriented management and development of people and resources including provision of a strong day-to-day leadership presence involving resource allocation, monitoring, reporting, and conducting regular staff meetings
- Manage department expenditure and requirements minding the impact on the financial budget
- Foster organisational culture by establishing quality awareness and service orientation and complying and implementing processes such as Project Management and Change Management
- Initiate, develop, implement and ensure adherence of policies and procedures
- Promote and support the recruitment and development UAE Nationals to significantly contribute to Daman’s strategic goals
Department Specific:
- Accountable for achieving Key Account Team’s sales targets by managing business development and establishing effective sales strategy through the use of sales tools and techniques
- Develop and execute the Daman’s business plan - expand customer base, grow Gross Written Premium (GWP) and ensure its strong presence in the UAE market
- Identify emerging market opportunities while being fully aware of new Employee Benefits (EB) product concepts and competitors
- Initiate and own internal and external sales related projects
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the regulatory environment to anticipate and manage business risks arising from changes in regulation
- Build and promote strong and long-lasting corporate relationships by partnering with insurers, target key account clients and large employer groups in the market, understanding their EB needs and communicate with all stakeholders (internal and external) to achieve positive results
- Handle signing authority for Underwriting discounts and quotations as per authority matrix
Key Requirements and Qualifications:
- 8+ years of sales experience, 5 years of which should be in management position
- 4+ years of experience dealing with large corporate sales with minimum portfolio of AED 50million
- Technical experience in health insurance is a must
- CII qualification is an advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in any field is mandatory
- Master’s degree is a plus

- Very good leadership skills including people management, selection and development skills
- Very good command of written/spoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is an added advantage

- Strong level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
- Very good communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Broad knowledge of health insurance concepts
- Experienced in managing a multi-cultural environment and promote teamwork and knowledge sharing in order to achieve goals and deliverables
- UAE driving license is a must
- Flexibility to travel within UAE
