Responsible for creating a cohesive approach to the communications and PR activities of DET’s regional GCC target markets and to ensure the effective delivery of PR campaigns and activities, positioning Dubai as a leading tourism and commerce destination.
Core Functional Responsibilities & Subject Matter Expertise
- Develop public relations and communications strategy in alignment with overall DCTCM marketing strategy
- Manage the implementation of yearly PR and communications plan including identification of key media stakeholders and potential partners per market
- Attend to familiarization trips for media related guests and share information on Dubai (media press trips + broadcast)
- Attend to roadshows, meet with target media organizations and conduct low to medium complexity presentations to promote Dubai as a preferred destination
- Conducting meetings and facilitating interview opportunities with target media during roadshows and events
- Manage content partnerships
- Manage pitch content working with local PR agency to ideate, review and create content to be used by markets throughout the year
- Lead media monitoring activities to monitor mentions of Dubai, identifying any potential media-related crises
- Coordinate the flow of media requests received from international audiences and ensure that responses are generated using FAQ and messaging documents to provide world-class responses
- Manage PR campaign performance related reports
- Development of PR campaign performance reports and review identified discrepancy areas
- Review third party providers' and agencies' proposals for DET's PR and communications needs and provide information to selection process
- Induct and manage country-specific agencies, developing their understanding of the destination, and enabling them to become in-market PR representatives of Dubai
- Review third party provider (e.g. consultants, agencies) performance during activities related to DET's PR and communications needs and ensure that deliverables are aligned with organization's priorities
- Collaborate with 360 teams to integrate activities where relevant within the realm of PR
