Job Summary:

The Manager - HRBP for the Corporate division is responsible for aligning HR strategies with business objectives, providing expert HR consultancy, and partnering closely with business leaders. The incumbent will manage HR processes such as talent management, restructuring, retention, workforce planning, and organizational development. The role involves leading initiatives in change management, employee relations, and implementing HR programs such as performance management and succession planning. As part of the HRBP team, the Manager - HRBP will also manage employee life-cycle processes, such as promotions, approvals (via GMG’s OneFlow system), and position allocations, ensuring compliance with company policies and UAE labor laws. The role will oversee a team of HRBPs and report to the Director - HRBP.

Accountabilities

  • The incumbent will be responsible for: HR Strategy & Consulting: Partnering with Corporate leadership to identify and solve significant people and cultural issues, acting as a trusted advisor for HR-related decision-making.
  • HR consulting and coaching business leaders on key HR issues such as performance management, employee relations, organizational design, and succession planning.
  • Driving talent management initiatives, ensuring the identification, development, and retention of key talents in the corporate division.
  • Change Management & Organizational Development Supporting organizational changes, including restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, and workforce planning, ensuring a smooth transition for employees.
  • Facilitating change management programs, coaching leaders through organizational changes, and supporting employee engagement during periods of transformation.
  • HR Operations & Process Management Managing HR processes, including promotions, role changes, and salary adjustments, ensuring compliance with GMG’s internal systems like OneFlow for approvals.
  • Position management and workforce planning, ensuring that the Corporate division’s structure aligns with its strategic objectives, and managing position allocations.
  • Overseeing employee relations, including handling grievances, disputes, and compliance with UAE labor laws, to minimize potential legal risks.
  • HR Program Implementation: Leading the rollout of HR programs, such as performance appraisals, rewards programs, and employee recognition initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Partnering with the Talent Management team to support leadership development, succession planning, and talent review processes for the corporate division.
  • Employee Engagement & Retention: Driving retention strategies to reduce turnover and improve employee engagement, ensuring that key talent is retained and developed within the organization.
  • Conducting regular employee feedback sessions to understand concerns and implement solutions to improve employee satisfaction.
  • Job Description Management: Ensure that all job descriptions are meticulously crafted and organized in alignment with the guidelines provided by the Rewards team, maintaining clarity, consistency, and compliance across all roles.

People Management

The Manager - HRBP will lead a team of HR Business Partners, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback. The incumbent will ensure the HRBP team adheres to best practices, fosters collaboration, and aligns HR initiatives with business objectives. This role involves managing the team’s performance, development, and succession planning within the HR department.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is advantageous.
  • 8+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on HR business partnering, employee relations, and talent management, particularly within the corporate sector. Experience in managing organizational changes, talent acquisition, and HR operations
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken). Proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with business leaders and employees.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HR management systems for reporting and data analysis.
