The Opportunity:

As the Manager - Frontend Engineering, you will lead a talented team of frontend engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences for our products. This role combines your technical expertise with leadership skills to shape the vision, strategy, and execution of our frontend solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and backend engineering, to deliver scalable, maintainable, and performance-driven user interfaces.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of frontend engineers.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on growth and delivery.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Define and maintain best practices for frontend development, including coding standards, architecture, and testing.
    • Oversee technical decisions and review code to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution:
    • Collaborate with product managers and designers to define project requirements and timelines.
    • Drive the implementation of new features and improvements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Own the team's roadmap and continuously improve the development process.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Act as the liaison between the frontend team and other stakeholders.
    • Ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.
    • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Technology Trends:
    • Stay informed on emerging technologies and development trends, applying them to drive innovation and technical excellence.
  • Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans and related risk assessments.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Performance will be assessed based on measurable achievements, such as cost savings, reductions in productivity loss, defect-free delivery, adherence to policies and standards, and customer satisfaction scores.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in frontend development, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React).
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with frontend performance optimization, testing frameworks, and accessibility standards.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and work collaboratively in an Agile environment.
  • Experience in building scalable frontend architectures for enterprise-grade applications.
  • Familiarity with backend technologies and APIs.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices related to CI/CD pipelines for frontend development.
  • Passion for creating seamless and engaging user experiences.
