Job Purpose:
The Manager Financial Control is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records through effective General Ledger management, reconciliations, and internal controls. This role plays a key part in ICFR compliance, financial risk mitigation, and control testing, ensuring adherence to regulatory and accounting standards. Additionally, the position supports financial reporting, process automation, and audit readiness while collaborating with business units to enhance reconciliation processes and minimize control risks. By leading risk assessments, compliance reviews, and process improvements, the Manager Financial Control helps maintain financial stability, transparency, and operational efficiency across the organization.
Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce or another related field.
Professional / Technical Qualifications / Diplomas:
•A professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is mandatory.
Experience:
•Minimum of 8 years of post-degree experience in the banking industry.
•Minimum of 5 years of Financial Control & ICFR Experience.
Specialist Skills Required for the Job:
•Good knowledge of finance and accounting concepts.
•Good understanding of banking systems and reconciliation framework.
•Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
•Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
•Systems knowledge and an advanced level of expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
•Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
