Job description

Scope of the Role

This role is responsible for overseeing the preparation and consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance with IFRS, and timely delivery of management information to support strategic decision-making. The role involves leading the budgeting and forecasting processes, managing external audits, and overseeing treasury operations. In addition, the role will support tax compliance activities including Corporate Tax, VAT, and transfer pricing. The individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and uphold strong financial governance.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Ensure accurate accounting for subsidiaries, joint ventures, and M&A transactions (IFRS 3).
  • Lead monthly and quarterly management reporting, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and process alignment.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Coordinate the annual budgeting cycle and periodic forecasting exercises.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, highlighting key variances and trends.
  • Support scenario modelling and financial planning for business initiatives.

Audit & Controls

  • Manage the annual audit process, including coordination with external auditors and timely submission of audit requirements.
  • Maintain and enhance financial controls and ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations.

Treasury Management

  • Oversee day-to-day treasury activities, including cash flow monitoring and payment processing.
  • Manage banking relationships, negotiating terms and ensuring optimal cash management solutions.
  • Support intercompany funding and liquidity management across the Group.

Tax Compliance Support

  • Assist with the preparation and submission of UAE Corporate Tax and VAT returns.
  • Support compliance with KSA tax and Zakat obligations in collaboration with external advisors.
  • Prepare documentation for transfer pricing and cross-border tax reporting.
  • Contribute to tax planning discussions and implementation of entity-level compliance processes.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure financial data integrity.
  • Support strategic projects including entity restructuring, system upgrades, and financial due diligence.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent qualification in Finance or Accounting.
  • Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Familiarity with UAE tax regulations; working knowledge of KSA tax and Zakat is desirable.

  • Language Skills : Arabic language skills are highly desirable.
