The Manager Engineering Cloud & Digital Apps is responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s cloud infrastructure and digital application ecosystem. This role ensures the seamless integration, scalability, security, and performance of cloud-based solutions and digital platforms, aligning with business objectives. The manager will oversee cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and drive modernization initiatives, enabling digital transformation, operational efficiency, and innovation across the enterprise.

Responsibilities :

Cloud Platform Strategy, Architecture & Delivery

• Define and maintain the overall cloud strategy and roadmap in alignment with enterprise architecture and business needs.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud architecture primarily on AWS.
• Evaluate and implement cloud-native services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS) to support infrastructure and application modernization.
• Govern hybrid and multi-cloud strategies where required, integrating with on-premises or SaaS platforms.

ROSA (Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS) Implementation & Management

• Lead the deployment and lifecycle management of applications using ROSA, enabling containerized and microservices-based development.
• Define and manage CI / CD pipelines integrated with OpenShift Pipelines, GitOps, and DevSecOps practices.
• Enforce workload isolation, role-based access, image registry policies, and platform governance within ROSA.
• Ensure that ROSA clusters are configured for scalability, observability, and high availability.

Application Modernization & Digital Enablement

• Manage the re-platforming, containerization, and modernization of legacy business applications.
• Collaborate with digital product owners and developers to align application needs with modern cloud services and managed platforms.
• Enable agile development and DevOps practices across teams, with support for fast prototyping and scaling on cloud-native platforms.

DevOps, CI / CD & Automation

• Oversee enterprise-wide adoption of DevOps, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation frameworks using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and GitLab CI.
• Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines for ROSA and other cloud-hosted platforms.
• Enforce standards and guardrails for automated testing, security scanning, and environment provisioning.

Security, Compliance & Governance

• Ensure all cloud platforms and application environments meet enterprise security and compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS, GDPR).
• Implement access controls, encryption, and logging mechanisms in alignment with zero-trust principles.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to manage threat detection, vulnerability scans, and incident response on both AWS and ROSA environments.

Cloud Operations, Monitoring & Optimization

• Own the day-to-day operational performance and availability of cloud platforms, including proactive issue resolution and incident management.
• Implement observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, Open Telemetry) for performance monitoring, alerts, and root cause analysis.
• Monitor and optimize cloud spend using AWS Cost Explorer, Budgets, and FinOps practices to ensure responsible consumption of resources.

Educational / Experience Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Real Estate, or a related field.
• Real estate industry experience is a must to have an understanding of residential, commercial, and retail businesses.
• Minimum 12–15 years of progressive software development experience with at least 8-10 years in real estate.
• Digital product building experience of large platforms with 10k+ users.
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies like Safe or Scrum.
• Proven track record with large-scale real estate developers in the UAE (mandatory).
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills.
