Manager - Digital Marketing

Sharjah Islamic Bank Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

Job Purpose:
To lead and implement digital marketing strategies across all digital channels, enhancing customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. This role plays a key part in transforming the bank's digital presence, driving ROI-focused campaigns, and promoting digital-first banking experiences. The role involves managing online campaigns, optimizing digital channels, and driving customer engagement while ensuring compliance with Islamic banking principles & Consumer Protection Regulations.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Develop and execute the digital marketing strategy & data-driven digital marketing strategies aligned with business goals for all SIB digital platforms.
  • Increase in digital customer acquisition and engagement rates.
  • Growth in website and app traffic through targeted campaigns.
  • Improvement in conversion rates for digital banking products.

Manage and optimize paid and organic digital campaigns (SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing, search, display, retargeting, and programmatic campaigns). Optimize for maximum reach and ROI.

  • Reduction in customer acquisition costs (CAC).
  • Higher ROI on digital marketing spend.
  • Improved search engine ranking and social media engagement metrics.

Ensure compliance with Shariah principles in all digital marketing activities.

  • 100% adherence to Shariah-compliant advertising guidelines.
  • No regulatory violations or compliance issues.
  • Positive feedback from internal Shariah and compliance teams.

Leverage data analytics to track performance and enhance digital marketing effectiveness.

  • Regular reporting and insights provided for campaign optimization.
  • Increased efficiency in digital marketing spend based on data-driven decisions.
  • Growth in customer retention and engagement rates based on personalized marketing.

Social Media Marketing, oversee content planning, paid and organic growth across platforms along with Corporate Communication.

  • Get Engagement rate, Follower growth, Share of Voice.

Web & App Analytics by driving insights using GA4, Tag Manager, and heat maps. Recommend website and app improvements.

  • Bounce rate, Session time, Drop-off rate, Traffic quality Analytics.

Agency & Vendor Management, lead external agencies on media buying, creative development, and digital production.

  • Timely delivery, SLA adherence, Campaign outcomes.

MarTech & Automation, collaborate with IT for CRM, automation tools, and customer journey optimization.

  • Improved customer LTV, Retention rate, Lead nurturing performance.

Frameworks, Boundaries, & Decision Making Authority:

Strategic Decision-Making:

  • Has authority to develop and implement digital marketing strategies aligned with the bank's overall marketing and business objectives under the Head of Marketing guidance.
  • Makes recommendations on budget allocation for digital marketing campaigns.

Regulatory & Compliance Framework:

  • Ensures all digital marketing activities comply with Shariah principles and banking regulations.
  • Works closely with compliance teams to obtain approvals for digital marketing content.

Financial & Budgetary Control:

  • Oversees the digital marketing budget and ensures cost-effective use of funds.
  • Approves expenditures for paid digital campaigns within assigned limits.

Operational & Team Management:

  • Leads and manages digital marketing projects, ensuring timely execution.
  • Delegates tasks to internal teams and external agencies, ensuring alignment with objectives.

Performance & Data-Driven Decision-Making:

  • Uses analytics and performance metrics to make data-driven marketing decisions.
  • Has the authority to adjust digital marketing strategies based on campaign performance and market trends.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum Experience: 7+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in banking or financial services.
  • Language Skills: Excellent proficiency in English (written & spoken).
  • Bilingual proficiency preferred (English & Arabic) to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Computer/ System / Software Skills: Hands-on experience with SEO, SEM, Google Ads, social media marketing, and content marketing, GA4, Adobe Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, CMS tools (Sitecore, WordPress).
