Job description

You will be responsible for the management of digital assets operations for the bank. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of our digital asset services, ensuring the highest level of security, compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of blockchain technology, best practices for digital asset or blockchain operations, and possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement, document and maintain robust security protocols and procedures for the safe storage and handling of digital assets.
• Oversee the management of private keys, multi-signature wallets, and other security measures to prevent unauthorized access or loss of assets together with internal stakeholders.
• Conduct regular self-assessments to identify and mitigate potential operational risks and vulnerabilities.
• Continuously enhance as well as enhancements of operational processes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security practices and industry developments to ensure the highest level of asset protection.
• Oversee the day-to-day digital asset operations, including asset transfers, withdrawals, deposits, minting and burning, as well as reporting and reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client holdings and transactions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any custody-related issues or inquiries from clients and stakeholders.
• Consistently uphold client Service Level Agreements to guarantee satisfaction and excellence in service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and industry standards related to digital asset operations.
• Develop, document and implement internal controls and processes to meet regulatory requirements and mitigate operational risks.
• Stay informed about changing regulatory landscapes and proactively adjust digital asset practices to enhance the bank’s service offering.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging risks, proactively adjusting custody practices to mitigate potential threats.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk register, regularly reviewing and updating risk mitigation measures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in digital asset custody, tokenization, blockchain or a related field.
• In-depth understanding of blockchain technology, digital assets, and custody best practices.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols, cryptographic transaction approval mechanisms, and private key management.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the cryptocurrency industry is a plus
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and clients.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Familiarity with custody software and systems is a plus.
