The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is seeking a visionary Manager to lead the governance of data and artificial intelligence initiatives. This strategic role ensures the seamless integration of data governance frameworks and AI practices across RTA agencies, empowering smart, data-driven decision-making and innovation.

Job Overview
The Manager Data and Artificial Intelligence Governance will be responsible for leading advanced data management programs, ensuring the implementation of governance frameworks, enhancing data quality, and promoting AI innovation across the RTA. This position plays a key role in building a data-driven culture and advancing Dubai s smart city vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of technical training programs focused on data governance and AI/ML frameworks
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to implement governance standards across RTA s technology landscape
- Oversee complex data management projects involving data engineering and machine learning techniques
- Manage operations of the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) Lab, integrating IoT, blockchain, and AI automation
- Monitor and improve data quality using automated tools and methodologies
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and stakeholders to align data initiatives
- Govern the design and operation of advanced ETL processes and data integration systems
- Develop, enforce, and continuously improve robust data governance frameworks
- Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making using advanced analytics and AI tools
Required Skills and Experience
Education:
- Bachelor s Degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Master s Degree preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 14 years of experience in data management, data governance, and AI-related initiatives
Skills:
- Strong expertise in data governance, data quality, and data security principles
- Proficient with SQL, ETL tools, and data visualization platforms such as Tableau and Power BI
- Hands-on experience with AI, machine learning, IoT, and blockchain technologies
- Recognized certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- High-level analytical thinking and strategic planning skills
- Exceptional leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills
