Synopsis

At Etihad, we’re driven by the pursuit of excellence and our people are at the heart of everything we do. We’re currently seeking a data-driven, operational leader for the role of Manager – Crew Operations, providing 24/7 support to our crew in Abu Dhabi and globally.

In this pivotal role, you'll lead a team of Crew Operations Duty Officers, focusing on operational efficiency, compliance with aviation standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Accountabilities
  1. Lead and manage a team of Crew Operations Duty Officers to ensure quality internal processes and crew operational standards are maintained.
  2. Establish, communicate, and monitor clear objectives and performance metrics for the team.
  3. Communicate with crew post-incident to check welfare, offer support, and gather information for escalation.
  4. Coordinate with stakeholders to support operational readiness, including new station start-ups, aircraft entries, and special operations.
  5. Develop operational processes and collaborate on automation to enhance efficiency.
  6. Ensure compliance with GCAA and international safety and security standards, maintaining accurate crew records for audits.
  7. Disseminate operational updates across the network via manuals and alerts.
  8. Automate data processes and generate reports using Excel macros, Power Automate, or Tableau.
  9. Utilize predictive analytics and AI-driven insights for forecasting and trend analysis.
  10. Create interactive dashboards combining detailed spreadsheets with visual analytics tools.
  11. Share reports and dashboards within the Microsoft 365 environment to streamline communication.
Education & Experience
  • Knowledge of UAE and international operational regulations.
  • Understanding of airline operations, including crew scheduling and licensing.
  • Familiarity with operational policies and procedures.
Skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English.
  • Leadership and teamwork capabilities with clear direction-giving skills.
Training
  • CRM and SMS training.
  • Holding or previous holding of a cabin crew license is preferred.
Experience
  • At least 5 years in airline operations with a degree, or 7 years without a degree.
  • Preferably 5 years of airline flying experience.
