Job summary

Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank in Abu Dhabi is seeking a seasoned Manager, Credit Governance & Control to lead in-house governance for underwriting, policies and regulatory compliance across businesses and geographies. This UAE Nationals only role focuses on strengthening credit culture and risk controls.

Based in Abu Dhabi, you will collaborate with product, risk and operations teams, drive credit policy input, oversee RCAs, and manage strategic credit initiatives and MIS for management reviews.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of Credit life cycle, Banking operations, Policies, Regulations, Compliance and Risk management is a must.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• UAE working experience of 5+ years is a must.

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Credit Governance & Control in establishing sound credit culture and processes.
• Establish and manage Credit monitoring Forum to escalate issues.
• Support in implementing and managing the RCSA.
• Identify automation opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Conduct event-based reviews to assess process and policy compliance.
• Assist in establishing Early alert process with stakeholders.
• Provide input in formulating Credit policies and product programs.
• Interact with stakeholders including product, Credit, Risk and Operations teams.
• Prepare MIS and presentations for management review.
• Manage credit-related projects and initiatives.

This position is for UAE Nationals only.

Role Purpose:

• This function will serve as an in-house Governance & Control function for Credit team covering all Businesses & Geographies.

  
  

• The function will ensure Governance over underwriting processes and compliance with Credit policy and regulations.
