Job summary

Velora Aviation seeks an experienced Lead for Group financial close and consolidation to ensure timely, accurate reporting and robust statutory compliance.

You will coordinate intercompany eliminations, translations, and consolidation adjustments, while driving IFRS-based reporting and audit support in a multi-entity UAE environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; ACCA, ACA, CA, CPA, or Master’s qualification preferred.
• Minimum 6–8 years of relevant finance experience within large multi-entity organizations, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
• Strong expertise in IFRS, Group consolidation, statutory reporting, financial statement preparation and intercompany eliminations.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle FCCS, SAP S/4HANA, financial close processes, audit support and advanced financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead Group financial close and consolidation activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, management reports and shareholder reporting packs.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, foreign currency translations and consolidation adjustments.
• Oversee statutory financial reporting and ensure compliance with IFRS requirements.
• Perform technical accounting assessments and prepare accounting position papers for complex transactions.
• Maintain accounting policies, reporting guidelines and monitor new or amended IFRS standards.
• Coordinate external audit requirements, providing financial statements, schedules and supporting documentation.
• Manage consolidation and reporting processes through Oracle FCCS and SAP S/4HANA.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and resolve reporting and data-quality issues.
• Drive process improvements, automation and standardization initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency.
