Job summary

Remote DXB in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to translate business priorities into external narratives across bilingual channels. You will lead corporate, social, and community communications, coordinate media requests, and shape executive messaging.

The role requires 5+ years in PR/press, strong UAE media relationships, and ability to manage external agencies while monitoring reputation and ESG considerations.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education in journalism, communications, or related field.
• At least five years in PR, press office, or journalism.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, written and spoken.
• Established UAE media relationships.
• Experience producing digital/multi-channel content.
• Experience briefing external agencies.
• Strong project management and planning skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Willingness to work unsociable hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad portfolio of communications projects and translate business priorities into external narratives.
• Develop, approve, and distribute bilingual content in Arabic and English.
• Coordinate media requests and prepare written statements on behalf of the airline.
• Identify PR opportunities, arrange media trips, and coordinate event media coverage.
• Lead communications for corporate, social, and community priorities including Emiratisation and ESG.
• Build and manage external profiles for executive spokespeople, including speechwriting and briefing.
• Brief and evaluate PR agencies and suppliers to ensure quality and consistency.
• Monitor media coverage and sentiment to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Monitor the external environment for reputational risks and prepare reactive statements.
• Manage stakeholders from executive leadership to departmental content owners.

Requirements

• Bilingual fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken)
• Established relationships with UAE and regional media
• Proven experience producing digital and multi-channel content
• Experience briefing and managing external agencies
• Strong project management and planning skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Flexibility to work unsociable hours as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Aviation or aerospace industry background
• Familiarity with Abu Dhabi government and community stakeholders
