Manager Business Finance

Role & responsibilities

The role holder leads the Finance function for Middle East Operations, ensuring financial integrity, strategic financial planning, and strong compliance across the GCC. The position is responsible for financial forecasting, reporting, risk management, taxation, treasury, and internal controls, while also playing a strategic advisory role for business growth initiatives and operational efficiency. It involves close collaboration with cross-functional and regional distributor teams, as well as responsibility for people development within the finance function in Orkla IMEA.

Planning, Strategy & Financials

  • Spearheads the Finance function for Middle East Operations, which includes revenue and profitability forecasting, managing advertisement and promotion budget, and management of the legal subsidiary in UAE
  • Responsible for Financial Reporting, Risk & Compliances, Taxation and Treasury function of overall GCC operations.
  • Oversees month-end financial closing activities, cashflow/ working capital management, VAT filing, and other compliances.
  • Conduct detailed profitability and expenses analysis, providing insights to the leadership team on various product ranges, categories and promotion spends.
  • Conducting thorough analysis of AdPro investment opportunities and comprehensive business cases demonstrating potential ROI metrics and revenue growth projections.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate competitor acquisition strategies and new category / portfolio development, providing guidance to senior management to take best decisions.
  • Implementing robust internal control and approval systems to mitigate financial risks. Streamline business processes and SOPs to enhance operational efficiency and improve compliance rates
  • Work closely with the regional distributor team to review the distributor value chain and bring improvements in spend management.

  • Review and monitor performance of self/team members and provide developmental support/ inputs.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Chartered Accountant ( CA)(ICAI) with 2-5 years of post-qualification experience in finance, accounting
  • Prior experience in the FMCG manufacturing sector is highly preferred, with exposure to commercial finance
  • Regional exposure within GCC markets and understanding of relevant financial and regulatory frameworks will be considered a significant plus.
  • Experience with Big Four accounting firms is a strong advantage, particularly in areas of financial reporting, controls, and compliance
