Manager - Business Controller

Job Purpose:

• Support the business with business analysis of relevant data alongside the Financial Reporting team.
• Support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Manage the retail business data, streamlining and providing of real-time information to each business function under the retail team.
2. Provide and coordinate all letting activity/rent roll reports across retail portfolio.
3. Liaise with leasing managers and asset managers for day to day retail function.
4. Analyze the trends of retail customers and tenants.
5. Support business functions and finance team in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting.
6. Prepare leasing manager’s performance analysis based on weekly LCs.
7. Provide support in mid-year and annual valuation.
8. Prepare quarterly WAULT reports.
9. Preparation of weekly LC packs for both main units and Sp leasing and act as the custodian of the leasing committee.
10. Revenue reconciliation for all the assets (Yardi vs letting file) and provide support to Retail Finance team for revenue accrual.
11. Provide retail performance slides for monthly financial presentation.
12. Actively participate in the enhancement of retail software (Yardi).
13. Provide support to the auditors for the retail audit.
14. Provide support for the preparation and monitoring of retail KPIs of leasing/asset managers, HODs and CRO.

Key Results Area:

1. Constant updates on Retail leasing.
2. Accurate reporting on progress of delivery function.
3. Planning, analysis and forecasting of retail portfolio.

Related Years of Experience:

• Min of 8+ years of related experience in business data analytics.

Field of experience:

1. Experience in data and statistical analysis/methods.
2. Experience in real estate / retail industry.

Technical and Interpersonal skills:

1. Solid statistical, mathematical and programming knowledge.
2. Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
3. Data visualization capabilities such as drawing out patterns, trends and correlation of available data.
4. Well versed in MS office application or other database software for the proper management, safekeeping and retrieval of data.
5. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written).
6. Excellent reporting and presentation skills.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting.
• Part/fully qualified CA or ACCA.
