Job description

JOB PURPOSE

Manage ADNOC Aviation refuelling activities (Into-plane operations) and non-refuelling activities (Depot & Hydrant Operations), along with marketing & business development at all civil airports/airstrips within Abu Dhabi region and Island Airport, ensuring compliance with company procedures, local & international laws, and customer specifications.

Business Management

  1. Prepare quotations for additional aviation services, ensure proper delivery, invoicing, and payment collection.
  2. Maintain a valid credit & carnet customer list for airport depot operations.
  3. Ensure services are provided only to permitted customers as confirmed by the aviation sales team.
  4. Ensure availability of monthly posted airport prices for cash sales at all airports.
  5. Oversee timely cash collection from non-credit customers and deposit in bank; coordinate cheque collections from credit customers with the Aviation Sales Division.
  6. Participate in business development and promotional activities.

Into-Plane Operations

  1. Ensure safe delivery of aircraft refuelling & defuelling services as per IATA SLA and company procedures.
  2. Deliver aviation fuels according to latest specifications (Jet A-1, Avgas100LL).
  3. Maintain a valid refuelling liability insurance certificate of at least one billion USD.
  4. Estimate sales across airports within responsibility.
  5. Allocate resources and personnel, prepare duty rosters, and ensure vehicle registration renewals.
  6. Ensure renewal and availability of passes, and smooth communication with airport authorities.
  7. Ensure refuelling services comply with aircraft types and hydrant systems.
  8. Monitor and optimize asset utilization.

Depot & Hydrant Operations

  1. Maintain IATA recommended stock levels and coordinate fuel stock availability with the refinery.
  2. Ensure timely closure of stock and financial systems.
  3. Maintain asset insurance and ensure fuel integrity from receipt to delivery.
  4. Manage depot & hydrant operations in accordance with JIG requirements.

Quality, Safety, Business, Risk & Compliance Control

  1. Perform timely quality checks within permitted deviations.
  2. Ensure tasks comply with approved procedures, JIG frequencies, and IATA standards; raise variances if not.
  3. Maintain QMS documents as per legal and company protocols.
  4. Participate in incident investigations, audits, risk assessments, and business continuity planning.
  5. Conduct airport emergency response exercises.
  6. Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations, coordinating with maintenance and other departments.
  7. Resolve customer complaints promptly.
  8. Ensure all permits and authorizations are valid and up-to-date.
  9. Conduct staff performance reviews and ensure asset quality and cost control.
  10. Maintain compliance with AVOD Authorities and Responsibilities Manual.

Projects, Expansion, and Upgrades

  1. Oversee infrastructure upgrades of aviation fuel depots, coordinate modifications, and review proposals.
  2. Participate in operational and technical projects, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

Customer Relations and Complaint Management

  1. Maintain good relationships with customers and airport authorities.
  2. Document and resolve complaints satisfactorily.
  3. Ensure contractual obligations are met and conduct incident investigations as needed.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or commerce.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience managing aviation fuel facilities, including 6 years in managerial roles.
