Job Description

Summary:

Responsible for driving technology-enabled transformation in our supply chain and logistics operations. This role is central to identifying, developing, and deploying cutting-edge applications and digital solutions that enhance business processes across transportation, freight forwarding, warehousing (3PL/4PL) solutions, and back-office core services. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge in logistics and extensive hands-on experience with enterprise applications such as SAP S4 HANA ERP, CargoWise, Transport management system, and cloud technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Application Management:

  • Lead end-to-end management of logistics-related enterprise applications (SAP HANA, CargoWise, WMS, TMS, etc.)
  • Identify and pilot emerging technologies for operational excellence (AI/ML, IoT, RPA).
  • Collaborate with business units to translate operational needs into functional system requirements.

Digital Transformation & Process Automation:

  • Lead end-to-end digital transformation initiatives across supply chain operations, including freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation, and last-mile delivery solutions.
  • Develop and implement scalable, automated processes that improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and increase agility.
  • Drive customer-centric innovations to enhance digital customer experience, visibility, and self-service capabilities (e.g., portals, tracking tools, mobile apps).
  • Partner with business leaders to enable the launch of new logistics services or expansion into new geographic markets through agile, technology-enabled solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure digital systems are future-ready, easily adaptable, and aligned with evolving business models.
  • Leverage data analytics and automation platforms to deliver actionable insights and predictive capabilities.

Project & Change Management:

  • Manage technology-related projects from inception to execution.
  • Ensure timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
  • Drive change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions.

Process Improvement & Automation:

  • Analyze existing workflows and identify automation opportunities.
  • Implement AI, RPA, or other technologies to enhance efficiency.

Corporate Alignment & Governance:

  • Collaborate closely with Head Office IT and the Head of Applications to ensure corporate alignment of all regional and central IT solutions.
  • Provide regular updates to the Group IT Director on project progress, innovation roadmaps, and strategic initiatives.

Security & Compliance:

  • Ensure applications meet security standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Implement governance frameworks for data protection and cybersecurity.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualification:

Educational Background:

Graduate or Post Graduated or equivalent degree in the field of Computer Application / Computer Science.

Related Work Experience:

Minimum of 10 Years of experience in a similar field of which at least 2 years in managerial position.

Technical Qualification / Certification:

  • Strong background in enterprise applications, WMS, TMS, ERP, CRM, or cloud-based solutions.
  • SAP ERP– WMS, Integrations, Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services, data analytics – Power BI.
  • PMP, ITIL, Agile/Scrum certifications are a strong plus.

Technical/Functional Competency:

  • Deep knowledge of logistics processes: freight forwarding, customs, warehousing, and transportation.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strategic thinker with operational agility and execution capability.
  • Analytical mindset with strong business acumen and stakeholder focus.
