Responsible for understanding and adhering to the Division's SOPs and Policies to effectively perform managerial functions within the Spa & Recreation department, in line with hotel standards. The role includes directing, implementing, and maintaining a service and management philosophy that guides staff.
Responsibilities:
- Be knowledgeable about all products and services offered at the Spa, pool area, and Rosebuds program.
- Demonstrate high levels of product knowledge and job skills, with enthusiasm for continuous learning and staff development.
- Implement effective communication systems within the department, such as the Rosewood Daily Review, to ensure hotel information is effectively communicated.
- Maintain high safety standards in the workplace.
- Manage programs for group spa requests and sales, oversee resumes, contracts, appointment scheduling, and staffing requirements.
- Communicate upcoming VIP or repeat guest visits and reinforce their special requests and needs.
- Supervise housekeeping standards in the spa, gym, pool area, and Rosebuds.
- Ensure sanitary conditions are maintained throughout the spa, pool areas, and Rosebuds at all times.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least one 6-month internship at a 5-star hotel.
- Education: Diploma from an accredited Hotel Management School.
- General Skills: Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, organization, problem-solving, teamwork, confidentiality, and guest service understanding.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in information systems, basic computer skills, and Microsoft Office.
- Language: Fluency in English; additional languages preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to exert physical effort, reach, stand, communicate effectively, and endure physical movements.
