Job description

We are looking for Management Accountant to join our prominent government-affiliated body responsible for education quality and compliance in Dubai.

This role will be pivotal in driving informed decision-making and financial transparency across the organization by partnering with key stakeholders, optimizing resource allocation, and shaping long-term financial strategies.

This position has acontract duration of 12 months (renewable).

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, monitor, and update annual and in-year budgets and forecasts.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and financial performance reports.
  • Work with budget holders to understand and challenge financial performance and provide advice on resource planning.
  • Support the preparation of business cases, investment appraisals, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Assist in year-end processes, accruals, and internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with government accounting rules, financial regulations, and internal policies.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial systems, tools, and processes.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using financial software – Oracle Fusion and GRP (Government Resource Planning
