Maintenance Technician - Elevators and Escalators

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician specializing in elevators and escalators. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of elevator and escalator systems, ensuring their safe and efficient operation. This role requires strong technical expertise, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on elevators and escalators to ensure safe operation.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in elevator and escalator systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance checks to minimize breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Replace or repair faulty components, including motors, cables, control panels, and safety devices.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Collaborate with building managers, engineers, and clients to address concerns and provide recommendations.
• Test and calibrate systems to ensure proper performance after repairs or maintenance.
• Stay updated on new elevator and escalator technologies, industry standards, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Diploma or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or elevator engineering.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in elevator and escalator maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems related to elevators and escalators.
• Familiarity with safety codes, industry regulations, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Valid UAE driver’s license is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
