Qualifications

• Accredited Qualification in Engineering, Science, or HS&E is required.

Responsibilities

• Attend routine maintenance of plant apparatus, infrastructure and equipment according to prescribed schedules.
• Respond to maintenance requests and perform repairs to ensure equipment operates safely.

Job description

Maintenance Technician are primarily responsible for the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and grounds. Their duties include responding to maintenance requests, conducting routine inspections, performing repairs, and ensuring that all systems and equipment operate efficiently and safely. They are also involved in preventative maintenance, break down/emergency maintenance recordkeeping, and collaborating with other technicians or contractors as required by the Company to function in an efficient, safe and cost effective way.

• Ensure that Maintenance work takes place in a Safe and efficient manner as

prescribed by relevant work permits and SOP's, identifying opportunities for Safety

improvements, immediately reporting workplace hazards and events should they

arise.

• Close adherence to SHE protocols and requirements for all task even more so for

high-risk tasks.

• To be on standby when required
• Diligent attention to the maintenance of a clean workspace, through effective

housekeeping, is a key focus.

• Attend the routine maintenance of plant apparatus, infrastructure and equipment

according to prescribed work schedules to ensure its optimal working performance.

• Assist with the technical supervision of Contractors on site, facilitating site safety

by ensuring their correct use of PPE and the application of work methods defined

in issued work permits

• Ensure that activities are appropriately administered through the accurate

recording of all relevant data according to the requirements of associated process

documents (SOP's, Checklists, Work Permits etc.) to facilitate engineering

inventory management and departmental administration.

• Identify opportunities that deliver improvements to workspace layout (5S) and

process methods for the purpose of achieving industry best practise for Safety,

Quality and Operability.

• Perform any other reasonable task required to meet business objectives
