Job summary

Hempel seeks a maintenance associate in Sharjah to uphold plant equipment, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and improve productivity across manufacturing facilities.

You will coordinate with production and logistics teams, assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment, and ensure adherence to SOPs and safety regulations. The role reports to the Maintenance Engineer and requires hands-on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills.

Qualifications

• ITI/DIPLOMA in Electrical and hands-on maintenance experience.
• At least 3 years in paint/chemical industry with plant equipment.
• Troubleshooting VFD panels, starters (DOL/RDOL/STAR-DELTA), LT panels and switchgear.
• Strong English communication; able to read manuals and report deviations.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep of plant equipment and carryout preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Follow SOPs and safety regulations in daily activities.
• Coordinate with production, logistics and external contractors for repairs and projects.
• Plan maintenance work, review equipment specs for reliability and spare parts.
• Assist installation and commissioning of new equipment and inspections.

Job description

This is your opportunity to be part of a dynamic team In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep of plant, equipment and carryout preventive/ corrective maintenances to improve productivity of manufacturing facilities.

Here's some of the other things you can look forward to:

• Responsible for upkeep of plant equipment and carryout preventive/ corrective maintenances to improve productivity of manufacturing facilities.
• Follow Standard Operation Procedure (SOP)& Safety regulations in day-to-day activities.
• Complete assignments on day to basis and report deviations and take necessary actions.
• Coordinate with production & logistics team, external contractor teams for specialized system maintenance and project execution.
• Planning and coordinating maintenance engineering work including review of mechanical and electrical engineering specifications, performing engineering review of proposed new equipment designs to assess reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts.
• Liaises with production staff to coordinate repair work, statutory safety inspections and supply of new plant and equipment with production schedules.
• Participates in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• The role will be based in Sharjah (UAE) and will report to the Maintenance Engineer.
• Trouble shooting with VFD Pannels and starters like DOL, RDOL, STAR-DELTA Testing of LT Panels, PCCs, MCCs, & Capacitor Banks
• Maintain balance in work culture and healthy relation with all the employees.
• Should have hand on experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems.
• Should have English proficiency - Speak, Read & Write

You should also have the following qualifications:

• ITI/DIPLOMA in Electrical.
• Atleast 3 years hands on experience in Paint/Chemical industry.
• Trouble shooting with VFD Pannels and starters like DOL, RDOL, STAR-DELTA Testing of LT Panels, PCCs, MCCs, & Capacitor Banks
• Maintain balance in work culture and healthy relation with all the employees.
• Should have hand on experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems.
• Should have English proficiency - Speak, Read & Write
