Job summary

Hempel invites you to join a global chemicals manufacturer based in Sharjah, UAE. The role focuses on upkeep of plant equipment and preventive/corrective maintenance to improve productivity of manufacturing facilities.

You will follow SOPs and safety regulations, report deviations, and coordinate with production, logistics and external contractors for specialized maintenance and project execution. Based in Sharjah, UAE, you will report to the Maintenance Engineer.

Qualifications

• ITI/DIPLOMA in Electrical.
• At least 3 years hands-on experience in the Paint/Chemical industry.
• Trouble shooting with VFD panels and starters like DOL, RDOL, STAR-DELTA.
• Testing LT Panels, PCCs, MCCs, and Capacitor Banks.
• Proficient in English - Speaking, reading & writing.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep of plant equipment and carryout preventive/corrective maintenance to improve productivity of manufacturing facilities.
• Follow SOP and Safety regulations in day-to-day activities.
• Complete assignments on day to day basis and report deviations and take necessary actions.
• Coordinate with production & logistics team, external contractor teams for specialized system maintenance and project execution.
• Planning and coordinating maintenance engineering work including review of mechanical and electrical engineering specifications, assessment of reliability and availability of spare parts.
• Liaises with production staff to coordinate repair work, statutory safety inspections and supply of new plant and equipment with production schedules.
• Participates in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.

• Follow Standard Operation Procedure (SOP)& Safety regulations in day-to-day activities.
• Complete assignments on day to basis and report deviations and take necessary actions.
• Coordinate with production & logistics team, external contractor teams for specialized system maintenance and project execution.
• Planning and coordinating maintenance engineering work including review of mechanical and electrical engineering specifications, performing engineering review of proposed new equipment designs to assess reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts.
• Liaises with production staff to coordinate repair work, statutory safety inspections and supply of new plant and equipment with production schedules.
• Participates in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.

The role will be based in Sharjah (UAE) and will report to the Maintenance Engineer.

You Should Also Have The Following Qualifications

• ITI/DIPLOMA in Electrical.
• Atleast 3 years hands on experience in Paint/Chemical industry.
• Trouble shooting with VFD Pannels and starters like DOL, RDOL, STAR-DELTA
• Testing of LT Panels, PCCs, MCCs, & Capacitor Banks
• Maintain balance in work culture and healthy relation with all the employees.
• Should have hand on experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems.
• Should have English proficiency - Speak, Read & Write
