JOB DESCRIPTION
Preventive maintenance of machines and equipment, identifying faults/errors, and repairing. Improve equipment reliability and efficiency by increasing MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures).
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Perform preventive maintenance of all machines and equipment as per the established plan.
- Assist in developing the planned preventive maintenance schedule.
- Report breakdowns, equipment faults, and concerns to the department head.
- Perform root cause analysis on frequent breakdowns and establish solutions.
- Maintain sufficient inventory of spare parts, track usage, lifecycle, and set reorder quantities and timings.
- Ensure calibration activities are performed on necessary equipment and gauges.
- Train machine operators on the safe and proper use of machines, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure timely servicing of equipment under AMC.
- Assist with machine movements, installation, commissioning, or relocation.
- Review maintenance-related procedures.
- Maintain manuals and records of machines and equipment for reference and troubleshooting.
- Follow the ERP system for preventive maintenance schedules.
- Adhere to 5S housekeeping standards.
- Suggest improvements, report risks, safety concerns, and best practices.
- Comply with all NOV HSE procedures and policies, maintaining relevant logs.
- Observe HSE regulations, promote safe practices, and report hazards.
FACILITY SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly PM checklists of machines.
- Open unplanned work orders in the ERP system for breakdowns or faults.
- Control use of spare parts and identify critical spares with long lead times.
- Perform routine overhauls and yearly PM assessments.
- Ensure machines operate at 100% efficiency.
- Train new hires/operators under certification programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical/associate degree preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of electrical systems, parts, functions, and hand tools.
- Ability to understand drawings and procedures.
- Experience in mechanical/electrical installations, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical systems, schematics, and safe power tool use.
- Ability to comprehend technical electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings.
