POSITION SUMMARY
Spinneys, the UAE s leading premium food retailer, is looking for a team player with a can-do attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to apply their skills in a prompt and practical manner as a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN . In this role, you will ensure that all equipment and facilities are operating efficiently, while upholding food safety and hygiene standards across our production environment.
ORGANIZATIONAL FIT
This person reports directly to the MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR/MANAGER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out routine preventive maintenance (PPM) checks as per the scheduled plan.
Respond swiftly and effectively to equipment breakdowns.
Use and maintain designated tools appropriately and safely.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential equipment failures or safety hazards.
Support facility maintenance activities such as painting, repairs, replacements, and clean-ups.
Ensure all maintenance work complies with food safety and hygiene standards.
Maintain clean and organised working areas.
Wear appropriate PPE and follow all health and safety protocols.
Participate in cleaning and maintenance routines as instructed by the supervisor.
Work across high-care and low-care production areas in line with factory policy.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and complete assigned tasks promptly.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: minimum 2 years of experience in a similar maintenance or technician role within a manufacturing or food production setting.
Knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems is an advantage.
Team player with good communication skills and attention to detail.
Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks and tools.
