Urgent : Maintenance Technician ( Ice Cream : Refrigeration & Electrical) @ Dubai / Sharjah (UAE)

{ Previous experience in Ice cream industry is essential }

Our client is one of the first ice cream manufacturing plants in the Middle East. Today, they are one of the largest private label manufacturers in the region with direct distribution in the UAE across all channels.

Direct distribution reaches 6,000+ retail outlets in UAE & around 9,000+ outlets in the G.C.C.

They have extended distribution to neighboring GCC countries such as Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait & Qatar, the African continent including Congo, Tanzania, Ethiopia & other countries such as UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mauritius etc.

Qualification & Experience : Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical, Engineering with

4+ years of experience in Ice Cream industry

Age Group : 25- 30 years.

Role & responsibilities

• Ensuring the smooth operation & upkeep of mechanical, electrical, & refrigeration systems in ice cream manufacturing plant.
• Conduct routine inspections, log performance data, & recommend improvements.
  Follow GMP, HACCP, & FSSAI guidelines for equipment maintenance.
• Conducting routine inspections & preventative maintenance to minimize downtime & enhance system performance.
• Maintaining accurate records of service activities, repairs, & maintenance performed.
• Managing spare parts inventory for efficient repairs.
• Identifying opportunities to improve equipment efficiency & energy consumption.
• Preventative Maintenance , using Condition Based Monitoring.

Job profile

• Responsible for installing, maintaining, & repairing refrigeration systems used in ice cream production & storage.
• Preventive & corrective maintenance on mixing tanks, pasteurizers, homogenizers, ice cream freezers, conveyors, & automatic packaging machines (Extruders / Cone / Bulk filling mc) , walk-in coolers & other Ice Cream machines.
• Operate, monitor, & maintain ammonia & Freon-based refrigeration systems.
• Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems
• Diagnosing & repairing refrigeration system malfunctions using diagnostic tools & methodologies.
• Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations & industry standards related to refrigeration systems.

(B) Electrical

• Responsible for installing, maintaining & repairing Electrical systems used in ice cream production & storage.
• A strong understanding of electrical principles, circuits & systems is crucial. This includes the ability to read & interpret electrical schematics & blueprints.
• Troubleshoot & repair sensors, control panels, VFDs, & PLC-based automation systems.
• Inspect & maintain wiring, switchboards, circuit breakers, & power distribution systems.
• Monitor temperature controls, pressure gauges, refrigerant levels to prevent product spoilage.
• The ability to quickly & accurately diagnose electrical problems is essential. This may involve using measuring & diagnostic equipment
• Proficiency in various electrical tasks, such as wiring, soldering, & using hand & power tools
• A thorough understanding of electrical safety practices & the ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
• Remove & replace major electrical components (such as motors, switch/control gear) & troubleshoot electrical circuits safely. Able to isolate machinery & re-install electrical supplies for machinery components.
• Establish power distribution systems & electrical control circuits.
• Experience with PLC, SCADA, & automated control systems
• Install electrical drive systems & Control Loops.
