The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in power plant maintenance and a degree in engineering. You will be responsible for improving performance, managing maintenance, and ensuring safe and efficient operation of the plant.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in power plant operations.
• Experience in maintenance and inspection is critical.

Job Description

• Performance Improvement - Plant Inspection - Plant Maintenance - DCS Availability - Budget Control
• Provide technical support to the daily operations of the plant by reviewing production and efficiency data and advising on operational changes to meet targets cost-effectively.
• Follow guidelines from technology suppliers and industry best practices to establish and update operating policies ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations for long-term optimization.
• Manage troubleshooting services for plant operational issues.
• Provide guidance to staff working on the Shams Power Plant for reliability and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of experience in power plant operations.

Skills

• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance principles.
• Proficiency with PC software, CMMS, and reporting tools.
• Excellent command of English; Arabic is advantageous.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems (e.g., Metso, Siemens, ABB).
• Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, asset integrity management, and operating systems.
• Ability to respond to supervision and improve plant operations.
• Coordination skills between O&M staff and contractors.
