Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

1. Manage the preventive maintenance and repair of production lines to ensure higher plant productivity
2. Support Production in attainment of Daily Production Plan
3. Exercise regular cost control measures to keep the cost of parts & services at low levels to ensure maintenance expenses are kept on budget.
4. Develop alternative suppliers, ensuring the factory has local support for regular and emergency maintenance activities, avoiding extended breakdowns.
5. Select, negotiate and approve the service providers/suppliers, spare parts to be ordered, preventive maintenance schedule.
6. Advice on appropriate investments to drive continual improvement, including repairs, alterations to existing facility and additions.
7. Develop the request for proposal documentation with required details, submitting to suppliers for project’s bidding.
8. Work with HSEQ Department to proactively raise the plant standard
9. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and in line with regulatory requirements
10. Ensure adherence to SOP’s, Quality, Food Safety & Halal Standards and other regulatory and customer requirements.
11. Manage and coordinate with Quality Department, resolution to maintenance related customer complaints.
12. Identify and follow up with HR to fill existing vacancies and new job roles.
13. Coach each direct report for personal development and performance against their work plan.
14. Maintain the required spare parts stock, avoiding unnecessary items and shortage of important items.

• Plant Output (Actual downtime/Total plant running time)
• Number of complaints related to product specs (linked to machines)
• Maintenance Expenses (Actual maintenance expenses Vs Budgeted)
• Maintaining conversion cost
• Unplanned downtime (%) related to maintenance affecting the OEE
• Plant Maintenance (% of preventive maintenance plan executed)
• Maintaining Cold Chain (Actual temperature Vs required temperature)
• Electricity and water consumed per kg of production
• Mean time between failure
• Mean time to repair

Qualifications

• B.E. /B. Tech. (Mechanical/Electrical) with minimum 8 years’ experience in similar position in meat processing environment.
