Job summary

Latinem in Dubai seeks an experienced Maintenance Engineer to lead preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance across CNC lines and automation systems. You will coordinate with production to minimize downtime and ensure safety protocols are followed across all maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate holds a mechanical or electrical engineering degree with 5-7 years in steel/rebar processing, CNC machinery maintenance, and familiar PLC troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 5-7 years of experience in steel/rebar processing and CNC machinery maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Preventive and Predictive maintenance: follow preventive maintenance schedules for CNC rebar cut & bend machines, stirrup bending, straightening, decoiling lines, robotic welding, overhead cranes, compressors, and utilities.
• Conduct condition monitoring and RCA to optimize performance and uptime.
• Electrical & Automation support: troubleshoot PLC systems (Siemens/ABB/Schneider), servo motors, drives, encoders, sensors, and HMIs; maintain control panels and power distribution.
• Mechanical Systems Maintenance: maintain gearboxes, bearings, rollers, alignment, lubrication programs and ensure tolerances are met.
• Spare Parts & Inventory Control: monitor critical spares, coordinate with procurement for replenishment, support maintenance contracts negotiations.
• Safety & Compliance: ensure plant safety standards, perform risk assessments, enforce LOTO procedures, and support ISO QA audits related to maintenance KPIs.

Qualifications
