JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the general maintenance of the gardens, plants, and lawns at the Resort. Also maintain the beautification of the lawns and gardens to attract guests to the hotel's lush and green surroundings.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

Maintenance, Cleaner Duties, and Responsibilities:

Prerequisites:

• Soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, seed sowing, bed preparation, and planting.
• Use and maintenance of hand tools and basic light machinery.
• Use of cylinder and rotary mowers, strimmers, leaf blowers.
• Adjustments of mower height and quality of cut.
• Oil level checks and damage checks on mowers.
• Report equipment malfunctions to engineering.
• Awareness of Health and Safety requirements, ensuring duties comply with current Health & Safety at Work legislation.
• Ensure all equipment and machinery are stored securely and cleaned after use.
• Plant and transplant flowers, shrubs, trees, and lawns.
• Maintain gardens by fertilizing, trimming, and ensuring plants receive adequate irrigation water.
• Prune trees and hedges to promote health, safety, and aesthetic appeal.
• Maintain lawns and grass areas using machinery and natural fertilizers, avoiding chemicals.
• Keep gardens, thoroughfares, and pathways clear of litter at all times.
• Ensure irrigation systems are in good working condition.
• Prune and cut hedges.
• Maintain outside areas including pathways, ponds, steps, walls, etc.
• Clean outside of the main building, SPA, and parking areas.
• Keep the tool shed and storeroom clean and organized.
• Possess good knowledge of plants, organized, and able to follow schedules.
• Ensure areas around villas, SPA, main building, boardroom, and pathways are clean and tidy at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the maintenance building area.
