The key purpose of this position is to effectively manage the interfaces between Keolis MHI, Alstom, and RTA in the Dubai Tram project. The position includes achieving contractual and internal targets for operations, safety, maintenance coordination, and service reliability. Additionally, to ensure all operations control centre staff perform to the required standards and in compliance with procedures and instructions.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage system interfaces between Keolis MHI, Alstom, and RTA in the Dubai Tram project. Lead and implement an effective Interface Management strategy for the project.
- Represent the team in meetings with RTA, TRA, ACCA, and failure review boards.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures for Maintenance Interface Management, Configuration, Failure Management, Depot Management, task analysis, and work instructions with Operations Control Centre personnel and other managers.
- Schedule and oversee inspections of Alstom in collaboration with Keolis MHI SAE Department.
- Ensure all contractual requirements are met.
- Provide technical advice to Operations Control Centre personnel.
- Monitor service delivery and manage control room personnel and resources.
- Manage control room staff to ensure performance standards and compliance with procedures.
- Ensure controllers are trained, assessed, and certified; provide additional training if necessary.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Operations Manager and/or General Manager.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Understanding of rolling stock, signalling, and control room functions.
- Knowledge of factors affecting service quality, safety, and customer needs.
- Understanding of the Performance regime requirements and operations.
KEY SKILLS
- Thorough understanding of Tram systems and Operations Control Centres.
- Good literacy and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand complex systems and proficiency in IT.
- Effective communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, with the ability to handle priorities.
- Valid driving license and driving experience (preferred).
- Interpersonal skills to manage, motivate, lead, and train staff.
- Clear communication skills to inform clients about service disruptions.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the rail industry.
- Understanding of Tram systems and Operations Control Centres.
- Experience as a railway controller or engineer with knowledge of safety rules, regulations, and emergency procedures.
EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or higher diploma in a related discipline or relevant professional qualification.
