Summary
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Heavy Machine Operator to safely and efficiently operate a range of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, wheel loaders, graders, and cranes, in construction and industrial settings. The operator will be responsible for ensuring the machinery is in good working order, performing regular maintenance checks, and following safety protocols to complete tasks like earthmoving, material handling, demolition, and more.
Job Description
- Safely operate multi heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, graders, wheel loaders, articulated dump truck and cranes to perform various construction, demolition, and material handling at site.
- Conduct daily (each shift) inspections of machines to ensure they are in optimal working condition, & fill-up safety checklist.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, lubricating parts, greasing and ensuring safety features are operational.
- Report any issues or defects to supervisors and coordinate repair work as necessary.
- Strictly adhere to all workplace safety standards and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries. Zero tolerance.
- Operate machines in a way that ensures the safety of other workers and the public.
- Collaborate with site supervisors to understand project plans and determine the best equipment for the job.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations on the worksite.
- Provide updates on work progress and address any issues that may arise during the operation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a heavy machine operator with a valid operator’s license is a must.
- Proficiency in operating various types of heavy machinery and understanding of their controls and functions.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in construction and industrial environments.
- Physical strength, stamina, and ability to work in diverse weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Can operate Long Boom with GPS for Rock Placing.
