Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Abu Dhabi, UAE, seeks a MAC Specialist for the ADNOC PMC project.

You will act as the PMC focal point for all Monitoring, Automation, and Control activities throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating interfaces across disciplines and reviewing critical system deliverables. The role requires extensive experience in automation and control system design, with familiarity of major control systems, FEED to commissioning, and a strong emphasis on cybersecurity and digital asset

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years in oil & gas, petrochemical, LNG, or offshore projects.
• Minimum 5 years in a PMC, EPC, or Owner's Engineer role.
• Proven experience in automation and control system design, implementation, and commissioning.
• Experience with major control systems (Honeywell, Yokogawa, Emerson, ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric, or Rockwell).
• Experience in FEED, Detailed Engineering, Construction Support, and Commissioning phases.

KBR is looking for MAC Specialist for ADNOC PMC project to be based in Abu Dhabi - UAE.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Act as PMC focal point for all Monitoring, Automation, and Control system activities across the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables related to ICSS, DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD, F&G, Instrumentation, and telecommunications systems.
• Monitor EPC Contractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications, and international standards.
• Coordinate interfaces between Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, Cybersecurity, and Operations disciplines.
• Review system architecture, control philosophies, cause & effect matrices, logic diagrams, network configurations, and software applications.
• Evaluate and approve vendor documents, technical submittals, material requisitions, and package vendor designs.
• Participate in HAZOP, SIL assessments, FAT, SAT, IFAT, and integrated system testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and digital asset management requirements.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, start-up, and performance testing.
• Identify project risks, technical issues, and opportunities for optimization and recommend mitigation measures.
• Verify contractor adherence to quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
• Support project digitalization initiatives, including real-time monitoring, data integration, predictive analytics, and smart asset solutions.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure system operability and maintainability.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and management presentations

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications in Automation, Control Systems, Cybersecurity, or Digitalization are advantageous.
• Membership in recognized engineering institutions is preferred.
