Job summary

KBR is seeking a MAC Specialist for ADNOC PMC based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role focalizes Monitoring, Automation, and Control activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring ICSS/DCS/SCADA/ESD deliverables meet requirements and standards.

The candidate will coordinate interfaces among disciplines, support system testing, and drive digitalization initiatives with real-time monitoring and data integration. A senior professional with 15+ years in oil & gas is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• Certifications in automation or cybersecurity are a plus.
• Membership in engineering institutions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as PMC focal point for Monitoring, Automation and Control activities across the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve ICSS, DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD, and instrumentation system deliverables.
• Coordinate interfaces among Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, Cybersecurity and Operations.
• Support digitalization initiatives, real-time monitoring and data integration.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning and testing.
• Identify risks and opportunities and propose mitigations.

KBR is looking for MAC Specialist for ADNOC PMC project to be based in Abu Dhabi - UAE.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as PMC focal point for all Monitoring, Automation, and Control system activities across the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables related to ICSS, DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD, F&G, Instrumentation, and telecommunications systems.
• Monitor EPC Contractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications, and international standards.
• Coordinate interfaces between Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, Cybersecurity, and Operations disciplines.
• Review system architecture, control philosophies, cause & effect matrices, logic diagrams, network configurations, and software applications.
• Evaluate and approve vendor documents, technical submittals, material requisitions, and package vendor designs.
• Participate in HAZOP, SIL assessments, FAT, SAT, IFAT, and integrated system testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and digital asset management requirements.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, start‑up, and performance testing.
• Identify project risks, technical issues, and opportunities for optimization and recommend mitigation measures.
• Verify contractor adherence to quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
• Support project digitalization initiatives, including real‑time monitoring, data integration, predictive analytics, and smart asset solutions.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure system operability and maintainability.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and management presentations

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
• Professional certifications in Automation, Control Systems, Cybersecurity, or Digitalization are advantageous.
• Membership in recognized engineering institutions is preferred.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 15+ years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, LNG, or offshore projects.
• Minimum 5 years in a PMC, EPC, or Owner's Engineer role.
• Proven experience in automation and control system design, implementation, and commissioning.
• Experience with major control systems such as Honeywell, Yokogawa, Emerson, ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric, or Rockwell Automation.
• Experience in FEED, Detailed Engineering, Construction Support, and Commissioning phases.
