Job summary

KN International urgently seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) to oversee M&E infrastructure and building services on major projects in Abu Dhabi. The role requires strong expertise in pumping stations and fluid mechanics, with at least 10 years of UAE experience and familiarity with TAQA WS.

You will coordinate with contractors, review drawings, ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure and building services, preferably within the UAE.
• Experience with TAQA WS.
• Strong expertise in pumping stations, fluid mechanics, and M&E systems.
• Proven experience in construction supervision, quality control, and contract administration.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in managing M&E infrastructure and building services projects.
• Oversee pumping stations, fluid mechanics, and related systems for compliance with project specs and local regulations.
• Supervise contractor’s work, ensuring safety, quality, and contract adherence.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor progress for timely completion.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and technical queries on M&E works.
• Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and government authorities for project execution.
• Review project docs including material approvals, method statements, and shop drawings.
• Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Attend weekly and monthly progress meetings with status updates.
• Ensure on-site health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance.
