Job summary

KN International Architects and Engineers LLC in the UAE urgently seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) to oversee M&E infrastructure and building services within major projects. The role emphasizes quality execution, regulatory compliance, and coordinating with contractors.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in pumping stations, fluid mechanics, and M&E systems, with a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in the UAE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure and building services, UAE preferred.
• Experience working with TAQA WS.
• Strong expertise in pumping stations, fluid mechanics, and M&E systems.
• Construction supervision, quality control, and contract administration experience.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in managing mechanical and electrical infrastructure and building services projects.
• Oversee pumping stations, fluid mechanics, and related systems for compliance with specs and regulations.
• Supervise contractor work, ensuring safety, quality, and contract adherence.
• Conduct site inspections and progress monitoring for timely delivery.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and technical queries related to M&E works.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review project documentation, including method statements and shop drawings.
• Identify risks and propose corrective actions to maintain efficiency.
• Attend weekly and monthly progress meetings; ensure HSE compliance on-site.
