Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a security officer role or related security position.
• Knowledge of basic security procedures, access control and incident response; CCTV experience is an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional interaction.
• Ability to stay alert on long shifts and respond promptly to incidents.
• Attention to detail with ability to identify safety hazards and risks.
• Calm, decisive actions in high-pressure or emergency situations.
• Willingness to rotate shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Physical fitness for regular patrols and standing/walking for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel premises regularly to ensure safety and report suspicious activities.
• Respond promptly to security incidents and coordinate with management/external authorities.
• Monitor access control to restricted areas and ensure only authorized personnel enter.
• Take action during emergencies, including fire alarms, evacuations, and medical events.
• Assist guests and staff with guidance and directions during routine and emergency operations.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, safety standards, and local laws.
• Maintain incident logs and submit detailed reports to management.
• Identify safety hazards and report them for corrective action.
• Support training of new security officers and hotel staff on procedures.
• Perform other duties to support security operations as needed.
