Job summary

NH Collection Ibn Battuta Hotel in Dubai is seeking a General Technician to perform day-to-day maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and civil systems across the property. You’ll ensure peak performance and guest comfort in a premium luxury environment.

The role requires a technical diploma, at least 2 years in hotel maintenance, and solid English communication. Flexibility for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical diploma, vocational certificate, or equivalent trade school qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or Plumbing.
• Experience: Min 2 years in maintenance, ideally in a hotel or luxury property.
• Skills: Basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Soft skills: Conversational English, detail oriented, good problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Routine & preventive maintenance of hotel assets across property.
• HVAC: service FCUs/AHUs, vents, coils, filters; basic refrigeration care.
• Electrical: inspect/repair light fixtures, switches, sockets, boards.
• Plumbing: repair/maintain domestic water systems and fixtures.
• Civil & cosmetic: touch‑ups, painting, tiling, carpentry as needed.
• Work orders: address requests from guests/departments via system.
• Safety: follow LOTO, PPE, and safety protocols; maintain workshop.
