Job summary

Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach is seeking a polished Bartender to deliver cocktails and beverage service across our luxury F&B venues. You will craft signature drinks, present menus, and engage guests with warmth to elevate the luxury dining experience.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year of bartending in a 5-star setting, strong mixology knowledge, and excellent English. You will maintain HACCP compliance, manage bar stock, and ensure brand standards and flawless guest service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of proven bartending experience in a luxury setting such as a 5-star hotel, cocktail lounge, or fine-dining restaurant.
• Strong mixology knowledge and proficiency with POS operating systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluent English is required; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests, present beverage menus, and describe ingredients, flavors, and pairings.
• Craft and serve signature cocktails, classic drinks, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages per recipes and brand standards.
• Upsell premium spirits and menu items to enhance guest experience and revenue.
• Maintain bar visibility, attend to guest preferences, and address inquiries promptly.
• Ensure HACCP compliance and uphold hotel hygiene standards across bar areas.
• Perform pre-shift mise-en-place and stock checks; manage opening/closing procedures.
• Accurately process orders and payments through the POS system.
• Keep bar equipment, glassware, and storage areas clean and organized.
