Job summary

Jumeirah Muscat Bay in Oman is seeking a bartender to join the Food & Beverage team. The main duties include identifying guest needs, providing bar services, and upselling where appropriate to deliver knowledgeable, bespoke service.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of bartending experience, a Higher Secondary School certificate, Basic Food and Hygiene Training, and strong knowledge of wine, spirits and cocktails. The role offers a locally competitive salary and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years bartending experience within hospitality preferred
• Higher Secondary School certificate required
• Basic Food and Hygiene Training preferred
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits and cocktails

Responsibilities

• Identify and meet guests’ needs, provide bar services and upsell where appropriate
• Serve beverages according to defined standards and measures
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks
• Setup the bar with proper visuals and merchandise
• Coordinate with stewards to keep bar area clean and glassware available
• Check expiration dates and store perishable garnishes correctly
