What's the role?

The Middle East Lubricants division is part of the Europe, Africa & Middle East region of the global lubricants business and is a key region for expanding Shell's market share to maintain its global leadership position.

You will serve as the focal point for the UAE market, managing franchise workshops and global key accounts, supporting strategic initiatives for growth and achieving our 2025 ambitions and beyond. Your responsibilities include growing existing business and developing new direct accounts in the UAE, acting as the main contact for global key account managers and collaborating with marketing to support local business efforts.

As an Account Manager overseeing UAE's direct business, you will report to the Regional Sales Manager Middle East and lead the business agenda for the direct B2C business, working with internal teams such as Marketing, Technical, Finance, and Customer Operations to meet growth targets.

What you'll be doing

The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial and sales skills, product and market knowledge, stakeholder management abilities, and a proven track record in managing direct accounts.

Your responsibilities include managing franchise workshop activities for the UAE direct B2C business, developing business and growth plans, and collaborating with various internal teams to drive performance and growth.

Accountabilities :
  • Achieve and exceed KPIs such as volume, revenue, and sales excellence.
  • Manage existing contracts and identify opportunities for up-sell and cross-sell, including price adjustments.
  • Assess prospects, initiate, and close new contracts.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders internally and externally, demonstrating strong negotiation skills.
  • Coordinate with marketing and technical teams to develop promotional activities and technical initiatives.
  • Monitor competitor activities and ensure compliance with antitrust principles.
  • Build and maintain relationships with support functions to resolve issues and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Provide sales forecasts and coordinate supply chain logistics.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and competitor activities to inform strategy.
  • Focus on personal development through training and skill enhancement.
What you bring
  • Graduate or Postgraduate degree in engineering, business, sales, marketing, or related fields.
  • Preferably 10 years of work experience in lubricant sales and direct channel management.
  • Strong numerical and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce or SFA.
