PES Engineering is seeking Loss Prevention Engineers for Abu Dhabi to support multi-disciplinary projects in the oil & gas sector. The role focuses on loss prevention, fire protection, and process safety engineering with offshore wellhead/platform experience preferred.

You will develop safety philosophies, design basis documents, fire protection layouts, and P&ID reviews, coordinating with drafting teams and third-party consultants on complex packages in an international energy context.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Offshore wellhead and/or process platform experience preferred.
• Familiarity with ADNOC, QatarEnergy, Shell and Saudi Aramco standards and international regulations.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review safety and loss prevention engineering documentation.
• Coordinate safety workshops and project coordination activities.
• Develop Loss Prevention Philosophy, Safety Concepts and Fire Protection Design Basis documents.
• Prepare Hazardous Area Classification drawings and schedules.
• Develop Passive Fire Protection specifications, schedules and layouts.
• Prepare Fire & Gas Design Philosophy documents and Fire & Gas Detection layouts.
• Develop safety equipment location plans, escape routes and safety signage drawings.
• Carry out design and characterization of firefighting systems and related documentation.
• Perform hydraulic calculations for firewater networks and spray systems.
• Prepare specifications, MR, TBE, and review vendor documentation.
• Coordinate HAZID, HAZOP and other safety workshops with third-party consultants.
• Prepare and review Firewater Network P&IDs.

Position: Loss Prevention Engineer (2 Openings)

Key Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• Offshore wellhead and/or process platform experience preferred
• Strong experience in loss prevention, fire protection, and process safety engineering
• Familiarity with ADNOC, QatarEnergy, Shell, and Saudi Aramco standards and international regulations
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering projects and coordination activities

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare and review technical documentation related to safety and loss prevention engineering
• Participate in interdisciplinary document reviews and project coordination activities
• Develop Loss Prevention Philosophy, Safety Concepts, and Fire Protection Design Basis documents
• Prepare Hazardous Area Classification drawings and schedules
• Develop Passive Fire Protection (PFP) specifications, schedules, and layouts
• Prepare Fire & Gas Design Philosophy documents and Fire & Gas Detection layouts
• Develop safety equipment location plans, escape route layouts, and safety signage drawings
• Carry out design and characterization of firefighting systems and related documentation
• Perform hydraulic calculations for firewater networks and spray systems
• Prepare specifications, material requisitions (MR), technical bid evaluations (TBE), and review vendor documentation
• Coordinate HAZID, HAZOP, and other safety workshops, reviewing studies performed by third-party consultants
• Prepare and review Firewater Network P&IDs
• Coordinate with drafting teams for the development of engineering drawings
