JOB SUMMARY:

Our Company seeks a Supply Chain Specialist with a focus on logistics, expediting, and compliance. The individual must be charismatic, self-motivated, and analytical, with skills as a negotiator, dealmaker, and problem solver. The supply chain specialist will follow up on open POs, deliveries, logistics coordination, consolidations, cost reduction and savings, customs-related issues, No Match, NCRs, etc. The individual shall work within the Procurement team and back-to-back logistics team to ensure the fulfillment of requisitions for goods and services along the entire supply chain, from requirements to delivery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure implementation, enforcement, and improvement of EE policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Monitor and optimize total costs respecting goods or service requirements and delivery criteria.
  • Respond promptly to all communications from internal and external partners.
  • Maintain relations with internal clients on supply chain topics.
  • Review and monitor performance against open POs, cargo in transit, No Match, compliance records.
  • Coordinate and monitor delivery progress, resolving anomalies.
  • Manage onward shipping to vessel destinations with logistics/shipping agents.
  • Enforce compliance with procedures and suggest improvements.
  • Locate relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
  • Identify workplace risks and understand regulations.
  • Act as backup logistics coordinator.
  • Caretake own health and safety and that of others.
  • Track logistics budget and support inventory and WH tracking.
  • Understand logistics principles (Incoterms, shipping, inventory handling).
  • Manage PO reception and documentation.
  • Verify PO matches and track logistics costs and savings opportunities.
  • Follow up on OS&D processes.
  • Manage cargo reception, verification, and compliance folders.
  • Monitor KPIs for backlog POs.
  • Follow up on vessel outgoing materials, service reports, and shipping documentation.
  • Coordinate cargo labeling, packing, and import/export processes.
  • Manage delivery notifications, port calls, and tracking.
  • Qualify needs, handle logistics problems, and implement corrective actions.
  • Keep vessel masters informed of delivery statuses.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, agents, and finance for invoice validation.
  • Manage goods receipt, GR processes, and invoice coding.

Daily Tasks include reviewing emails, tracking shipments, following up with vendors, and processing invoices.

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Approximately 30%.

WORK AUTHORIZATION: Candidates must be authorized to work in the assigned location.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Significant knowledge and experience in supply chain, especially logistics and international trade.
  • 7+ years experience in global supply chain/logistics.
  • Understanding handling of dangerous goods.
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Knowledge of logistics budgets, incoterms, customs, and import procedures.

Technical Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
  • Knowledge of ERP systems related to supply chain.
