Role Description
We are looking for a full time Logistics & Supply Chain Coordinator who will be based in ROVOP’s Middle East office in Dubai and will support the ROV systems working in the ME and APAC regions. A varied and fast paced role, you will be arranging the logistics, procurement, expediting and associated regulatory requirements necessary to maintain excellent uninterrupted service delivery, taking into account cost, quality and operational timeframes.
This position will support a multitude of departments but namely the Supply Chain function and Operations team.
Responsibilities
- Obtaining competitive quotes for logistic and transportation costs,
- Arrange air/sea/road transportation with third parties to move goods (including urgent and high value freight) in accordance with customer/company requirements,
- Arrange the appropriate packaging (consideration to; weight, dimensions, nature of goods - dangerous items/chemicals and cost) including Dangerous Goods packing and documentation,
- Documentation preparation to meet customs import/export requirements, packing specifications and compliance with client requests,
- Ensuring forms, registers, Import and Export documentation are effectively maintained along with the company’s Export Licenses and Applicable Authorisations,
- Assist with arranging payment of freight, demand notices and other associated charges,
- Assist in maintaining accurate records on all supply chain activities and equipment management,
- Raising purchase orders, procure goods and services in line with ROVOP processes, expediting goods in a commercially astute manner and supporting vessel mobilisations as required,
- Dealing with customer, supplier and logistic queries,
- Assist in commercial tenders and quotations in relation to freight movements of ROVs and associated equipment,
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to existing processes in order to improve efficiencies within the supply chain function,
- Provide cover where necessary for other members of the Supply Chain team.
Experience
- You will need to hold extensive import/export experience preferably in the subsea sector, with working knowledge and experience within a similar field. Ideally have procurement and/or expediting experience.
- You should have strong liaison qualities, with operational project management in international operations.
- As you will be managing a variety of relationships with different stakeholders, it is important you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can engage support and cooperation at all levels.
