Overview

Job Title: Gulf Logistics Supervisor ( call-off Supervisor )

Department: Gulf Logistics – Transportation - Outbound

Location: Dubai, UAE

Main Job Purpose: The Logistics Supervisor – call-off is responsible for daily planning and execution of logistics/transportation activities. Will be the point of contact for all transport providers and WH outbound team. This role reports direct line to Gulf Transportation Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Send full month requirements to shipping lines and transporters for reservation.
  • Plan daily shipment schedule and execution.
  • Book containers as per required loading time and location and ensure containers are delivered to the loading location.
  • Manage port to warehouse transportation to land containers to loading points on time.
  • Call-off Trucks as per required loading dates and truck type.
  • Follow up with transporters on truck and container delivery times until check-in at loading point.
  • Respond to routine enquiries concerning trucks and container availability.
  • Track the status of containers and trucks with transporters and communicate issues and provide solutions.
  • Monitor and update performance indicators (KPI) for transporters with the support of transportation supervisor.
  • Maintain daily communication with warehouse and transportation supervisor to respond to their needs.
  • Support Transportation Pillar in various optimization/automation projects.
  • Track all containers and trucks until they reach the loading point with all related documentation.
  • Be responsible for full consistency of transportation Ways of Working.
  • Prepare full monthly reporting on details per shipment (call-off time and date, delivery time, etc.).
  • Escalate all business issues on time with proper details for fast action and decision making.
  • Have working knowledge of basic Safety, Security, Quality, and Tracking.
  • Manage GPS devices and ensure that Security tracking team highlights alerts and resolves issues and discrepancies.
  • Manage all trucks in transit and escalate delays with TSP, clearing agent and destination team.
Professional Skills & Qualifications
  • ESSENTIAL: University degree in Business Administration / Engineering / Logistics
  • Fluent in English and any of the following: Arabic/Urdu/Hindi
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • PREFERRED: SAP or any ERP system knowledge is preferable
  • Good working knowledge of Supply Chain Processes
  • Knowledge in Power BI or any automation tool is a plus

  • ESSENTIAL: Minimum 2 years of experience in similar positions in Logistics / Planning
