Job description

Hiring UAE National- Logistics Specialist for Our client which is a Dubai-based company specializing in innovative educational furniture, learning space design, and school architecture. This role focuses on planning, execution, and compliance of all inbound and outbound shipments, as well as fostering collaboration between suppliers, forwarders, and internal teams to support the organisation’s expansion and operational excellence.

Salary -14,000- 17,000 AED + Nafis

Responsibilities:

1. Logistics Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop and maintain schedules for inbound and outbound shipments to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with forwarders, transporters, suppliers, and internal teams to streamline logistics operations.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations in the GCC and beyond.

2.Documentation and Compliance:

  • Manage all import/export documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping and customs regulations, including obtaining necessary certifications (e.g., MOAIT, MOFAIC, Fasah, Saber).
  • Regularly update HS code lists and assess regulatory requirements for all shipping destinations.

3. Inbound and Outbound Shipments Management:

  • Coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and packing details.
  • Organise domestic transports in Saudi Arabia and manage customs clearance processes.
  • Oversee the preparation, packing, and palletising of items for outbound shipments.
  • Track and update shipment statuses, including collection dates,ETAs, and delivery confirmations.

Vendor and Cost Management:

  • Negotiate and secure cost-effective rates with forwarders and transporters.
  • Evaluate vendor quotes and invoices, disputing any discrepancies or unapproved charges.
  • Coordinate freight and customs duty payments with Finances.

Process Optimisation and Reporting:

  • Analyse shipping schedules and consolidate shipments for cost and time efficiency.
  • Maintain and update shipment trackers and reports to ensure operational transparency.
  • Implement rules and systems to automate logistics processes and improve accuracy.

Stakeholder Collaboration and Support:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the factory, warehouse, and project teams.
  • Inform the warehouse and installation teams of shipment statuses to align operational workflows.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to internal stakeholders on logistics performance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring the organisation remains compliant and competitive.

Qualifications & Certifications:

Experience: 1-3 years in logistics or a similar role, preferably within the GCC.

Education: Degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

  • Strong organisational, decision-making, and time-management abilities.
  • Familiarity with shipping, clearance laws, and regulations, particularly in the GCC.
  • Proficiency in logistics planning tools and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, basedon business needs.
