Job description

Your role

As a growing organization, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Specialist responsible for managing day-to-day logistics operations, supporting the Project Manager, and engaging with customers to ensure smooth execution of supply chain activities.

1. Collaborate with the Project Manager to understand material delivery milestones.
2. Create Material Requisitions for Purchasing, including quantities and required dates.
3. Handle all import/export permit requests and customs clearance processes.
4. Support the customer warehouse manager.
5. Monitor stock levels of spare parts and consumables.
6. Manage repair and procurement orders in sync with Saab AB back-office.
7. Establish and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, support contract negotiations, and ensure timely delivery of goods and materials. Evaluate freight forwarder performance (OTIF) and implement improvements.
8. Ensure all logistics requirements for projects are met, including coordinating delivery schedules and handling special logistics requests.
9. Maintain working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably IFS, to support implementation, training, and enhancement.
10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, reliability, and flexibility. Implement best practices and benchmark performance against industry standards.
11. Possess knowledge of the defense industry, including basic understanding of export controls.
12. Develop and document processes and procedures.
13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Your profile

1. Bachelor's degree with 8-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management and Logistics practices.
2. Strong commercial and technical interest, with the ability to build trust internally and externally.
3. Willingness to work in a growing team and perform hands-on tasks.
4. Self-motivated, solution-oriented, and decisive.
5. Understanding of ISO 9001 standards.
6. Positive, proactive "can-do" attitude.
7. Customer-focused with a commitment to service excellence.
8. Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust across the organization.
9. Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
10. Driver’s license and own vehicle, able to work at multiple locations.
