About You And This Role

Provides the day-to-day logistics support and expertise in arranging transport, managing logistics issues, and resolving exceptions that occur in the transaction and execution of shipment orders within the material flow work process.

This role required that you gain proficiency through on-the-job training and experience. You need either deep skills in this discipline or knowledge of a range of processes, procedures, and systems. You also need a broad understanding of the job and know how to apply knowledge and skills to complete assigned tasks. You should understand how your team works with others to accomplish objectives and be able to exchange detailed, complicated information with other team members.It is your responsibility to evaluate analytical or scientific problems in unusual situations and select solutions based on established procedures. You will serve as an informal resource on operational, administrative, data organization, or coordination tasks for less experienced team members with no direct supervisory responsibilities. Your performance will impact the quality, timeliness, and effectiveness of your own work and your team s work. You should be able to modify work practices and processes to achieve results and/or improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Meets the customer requirements to ensure on-time delivery and lowest cost-to-service product transportation to the final destination
  • Monitors timely shipments by Logistics Service Providers from origin
  • Monitors systems transactional activity and resolves transaction failures
  • Identifies non-compliance of Logistics Service Providers and takes appropriate action and supports logistics Quality Measure resolution
  • Resolves logistics issues in the material flow work process to ensure compliance with customer requirements
  • Verifies if logistics capability versus special requirements can be matched.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree +3 years of experience in Logistics, Accounts payable or purchasing.
  • The critical competencies required for success are: understanding customer needs, teamwork and collaboration, taking initiative, time management, attention to details and multiple tasks, interpersonal effectiveness, communication, technical proficiency in use of computer applications. Excel knowledge, ECC navigation.
